CATHAL HANNON THE RECIPIENT OF THE HLB MCKEOGH GALLAGHER RYAN AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE AND INSIGHT

HLB McKeogh Gallagher Ryan were delighted to present their Award for Excellence and Insight to Cathal Hannon at the University of Limerick graduation ceremony. Cathal won the award for his ‘Reflections on a Career in Taxation’ essay undertaken as part of his Masters in Taxation course.  He was pictured receiving his award from Mary McKeogh, Partner with HLB McKeogh Gallagher Ryan, and Kieran Gallery, Course Director of the Masters in Taxation.

He attended St. Joseph’s Patrician College, Galway before completing a three-year Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies, Sociology and Political Science in NUIG, where he graduated with a Second Class Honours Degree. He then proceeded to do a Bachelor of Law (LLB) in NUIG, graduating with First Class Honours. He undertook post-graduate study in the University of Limerick completing the Masters in Taxation in 2015, graduating with First Class Honours.

Cathal has been working in PwC in Dublin since last September. Based in the Human Resource Services Department he is putting his academic background to good use working in areas such as employment tax, social security and global employee mobility. He is also undertaking the professional tax exams with the Irish Taxation Institute and upon completion he intends carving out a successful career working on exciting and challenging projects.
