HLB McKeogh Gallagher Ryan, are delighted to announce the following promotions: Peter O’Brien to Manager, Sarah Kelly to Manager, Eimear Quin to Manager, Sinéad Mansell to Assistant Manager, Conor McElhinney to Assistant Manager, Bríd Darcy to Assistant Manager and Michelle Loftus to Assistant Manager.
The firm was established in 2012 by three of the region’s strongest commercial advisers – Mary McKeogh, CTA, leading the Tax Department, Eoin Ryan, ACA & CTA, leading the Business Advisory and Corporate Recovery Department and Eoin Gallagher, ACA, leading the Audit Department. This represents another significant milestone for the firm, effectively doubling its management team. These promotions are also significant professional achievements for the individuals who have developed in tandem with the firm and are key elements in its growth and success.
HLB McKeogh Gallagher Ryan opened its doors at 5 Shannon Street in Limerick in July 2012 and joined the HLB International network in early 2014, expanding its reach to the 130 countries that HLB is represented in. With a client base covering the length and breadth of the country, and a service offering to match in depth and intensity, HLB McKeogh Gallagher Ryan has become one of the region’s strongest firms.
Speaking at the promotions Managing Partner Mary McKeogh stated: “We are delighted to recognise the success of so many of our staff members. Seven promotions is a lot for any firm to announce, particularly when we are only in operation 2.5 years, but their hard work and ability has been instrumental to our firm’s success. It is also important to note that each one is local to the Mid-West region and highlights the calibre of the workforce we have here. Developing our own talent pool is a key objective for our firm and these promotions are testament to the strength of the education and training professionals receive in the Mid West.
Peter O’Brien is from Broadford, County Clare. A graduate of the University of Limerick, he is a Chartered Accountant and is the firm’s new Audit Manager, working closely with Audit Partner Eoin Gallagher to manage the audit department.
Sarah Kelly is from Quin, County Clare. A graduate of the University of Limerick, Sarah is a Chartered Tax Adviser and is the firm’s new Tax Manager. She works with Tax Partner Mary McKeogh on tax advisory projects, and with Business Advisory and Corporate Recovery Partner Eoin Ryan on the tax aspects of insolvency assignments.
Eimear Quin is from Limerick City. A graduate of Trinity College and University College Cork, Eimear is the firm’s new Operations Manager working closely with the three partners on operational and business development projects.
Sinéad Mansell is from Ballylanders, County Limerick. A graduate of the University of Limerick, Sinéad is a Chartered Tax Adviser and Qualified Financial Adviser, and is one of the firm’s new Tax Assistant Managers. She works with Tax Partner Mary McKeogh on tax restructuring projects.
Conor McElhinney is from Ennis, County Clare. A graduate of the National University of Ireland, Galway, Conor is a Chartered Tax Adviser and a Chartered Certified Accountant. He is one of the firm’s new Tax Assistant Managers working with Tax Partner Mary McKeogh, and Tax Director Anne Hogan on tax advisory and compliance assignments.
Bríd Darcy is from Kilmihil, County Clare. A graduate of Dublin City University Bríd is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is the firm’s new Business Advisory and Corporate Recovery Assistant Manager. Bríd works closely with Business Advisory and Corporate Recovery Partner Eoin Ryan, managing large insolvency appointments.
Michelle Loftus is from Cratloe, County Clare. A graduate of the University of Limerick, Michelle is a Chartered Accountant and is the firm’s new Audit Assistant Manager, working closely with Audit Partner Eoin Gallagher managing statutory audits and audit compliance assignments.
