HLB McKeogh Gallagher Ryan hosted a reception in our offices in 5 Shannon Street to announce our membership of HLB International.
HLB International is a leading worldwide network of independent professional accounting firms and business advisers. Formed in 1969, HLB International services clients through its member firms in over 110 countries, their 1,700 partners and 14,000 staff in 500 offices worldwide. Member firms are well-established locally with many firms ranked among the top twelve nationally.
HLB International is a member of the Forum of Firms and focuses on quality and personal service, reinforced by regular quality assurance reviews of all member firms, an up-to-date ISA compliant international audit manual and membership of external professional bodies focused on quality issues. HLB McKeogh Gallagher Ryan’s partners and staff were joined by guests from London and the United States as well as our colleagues from HLB Ireland. Managing Partner Mary McKeogh acknowledged what an important milestone joining HLB International is for the firm and the opportunities it will present both for the firm and also for our staff and clients.
HLB International CEO Rob Tautges welcomed us in person and spoke of the value HLB International membership brought to his own firm in the US and how important international reach is to mid-tier firms. Guest speaker Andrew Denley, Managing Partner of Menzies LLP which is a member of the HLB UK Federation, also spoke about active participation in the HLB International network and the extra resources it provides to members across the globe. Menzies are accountants and business advisers with offices in London, Heathrow, Leatherhead, Woking, Farnborough & Solent. Menzies is ranked in the Top 20 Firms by the International Accounting Bulletin and had circa £30m of fee income in 2013.
We were also joined by our HLB Ireland colleagues in HLB Ryan & Co and HLB Sheehan Quinn.
